Offices (12.600 m² gfa), apartments (8.700 m² gfa), underground parking (5.500 m² gfa)
The area of the Frederik Roeskestraat lies in a more quiet corner of the Zuidas of Amsterdam and is noted for its easy accessibility by either car as public transport.
For this plan MVSA have developed an urban scheme that will implemented in two phases. On the south side of the plot offices are planned. On the north side, with a spectacular view over the Amstel Canal, luxuries apartments will be built. A beautifully designed and green court yard will connect the two building elements.
The building shape is noted for the fluently designed volumes and large glass facades. Carefully detailed floor edges and banisters form a game of lines and articulate the flowing design of the building.
The luxuries and spacious apartments are nearly completely fitted with full glass facades. They have full width balconies and as well the north as the south side, benefitting of the sun on the south and the fine view over the canal on the north side.
The office floors are organized around a central atrium which also contains inner gardens, and also the elevators and staircases. The stories have been set up generously and can be arranged with full freedom of flexibility. The specially designed atriums behind the south façade each offer a spectacular view over the Zuidas.
