Along the Moscow River the prestigious Moscow City is arising. A prominent triangular plot is designated for a complex of offices, apartments, hotel and retail. As part of an enclosed competition MVSA/Reserve made the design for M-city. The design combines high density with a light footed transparency.
The plinth, middle towers and high towers connect the complex to the different urban scales in the surrounding area. The plinth offers a year through comfortable world of covered atria and winter gardens, with retail, hotel lobbies and public entrances. The five towers are thus stacked and twisted as to optimize the views and daylight for the offices and apartments. The roofs of the plinth and the middle towers are accessible gardens. The different volumes in the design can show a variation in architectural language that, together with several winter gardens and loggias, will add a human scale to the complex notwithstanding its considerable overall size.
