Smeulders will be responsible for creating custom-made furniture for the new University Library. The first set of furniture will be integrated into the structure, including bookshelves in the study rooms with entresols. The second set consists of 334 pieces, based on designs by MVSA Architects.
This extensive ensemble ranges from wall finishes with built-in whiteboards to benches in the corridors and lockers, as well as study tables, reading tables, display cabinets, a tribune in the debate room, and a table for the 'boomkamer,' a space for brainstorming.
We are thrilled about this collaboration and can't wait to see the finalized project!
